We specialize in representing the 1940s through to the 1970s, but also know how to capture that energy from the past and place it within the contemporary world of fashion.
Our models take you back to the fabulous fifties, when postwar optimism was riddled with angst and controversy, when the wild ones and the rebels dominated the Drive In, and your car was as curvaceous as the Hollywood bombshells on screen.
The soundtrack to the era fused country music with R&B, hillbilly and gospel music to create Rock n Roll, and, in its purest form Rockabilly, fashioned by artists such as Elvis Presley, Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent.
The buzzword for the decade was teenager. A whole new consumer group, who shunned the restraints of their elders to create their own attitude and lifestyle, a turning point in fashion urged by the need to rebel.
In the 60's came the Mod movement, when the sharp suited were influenced by European designs and the mini skirt rose to great heights in more way than one. However, as the decade drew to a close, the swinging sixties were soon replaced by California Cool, when an anti-establishment movement became a forerunner to the anti-fashion assault of the seventies where a heady mix of flamboyance and glam rock clashed with a new era of retro dressing, and punk rockers looked to the fashions of the past to create a new rebellion for the future.
